History and Purpose
The CDM Foundation is dedicated to making Corona del Mar Middle and High Schools "the best" secondary school in the nation by having outstanding academic and counseling programs as well as premier athletic, arts and extracurricular activities. The CDM Foundation, founded over 15 years ago, has raised over $7 million and focuses on providing basic academic and counseling resources and capital improvement needs over a multi-year planning horizon for both the middle and high schools.

Given the impacts of the economy on the school district funding for the 2011-2012 school year, The CDM Foundation will be focusing its funding to maintain the annual staffing commitments to counseling, as well as continued funding of the college counselor. Computer lab support and staff support (for programs such as after school tutoring). In total The CDM Foundation funds 5 full-time employee positions. The Foundation also develops and provides to all students the College Planning Guide, which is updated annually. More recently, the CDM Foundation has renovated the quad, athletic fields and gym foyer/trophy case.

This year The CDM Foundation's goal is to raise $800,000 in order to continue funding of critical academic and counseling positions and programs. Our secondary goal is to increase the participation rate to 35% for CDM families contributing to the Foundation. The CDM Foundation benefits ALL CDM STUDENTS and the Foundation needs the support of all families. In order to reach this goal any donation is welcome but as a guideline, please help the CDM Foundation by: 1) Making a donation of $1,500 or 2) Pledging $5,000.00 to be paid over 4 years and 3) Attending the parent grade level get-togethers and the Duffy Date Night in Spring 2012.

Neptune's Ball is scheduled for Spring 2013!
